Searching for Money- The Frugal Hobby

I am all for teaching children about money, but I don’t think we should be going as far as the story below suggests. I admit, I will some times walk with my head down at the county fair or along paths to the bus, but only because I have accidentally found money at those places before. I am not sure that this economic situation is THIS extreme:
