Should We Be Keeping Our Kids in a Bubble?

No matter how much we try to protect our children, some things we cannot and should not protect them from. Should we let our children play with others with the sniffles? My guess is yes. Allow your little ones to create a good immune system by exposing them to things and some germs. Don't let them play with others that may have the flu or another compromising condition, but let hem get dirty at the park!

I believe that is why our society sees so many allergies that just weren't there when we were little; allergies like, peanut, egg and milk allergies seem to be taking over. Was your school peanut free 25 years ago?

  1. First, let me just say that this is the best blog on the internet. I’m addicted!

    My child’s school has a misguided peanut-free policy, even though there are no kids with peanut allergies in the school, just in case a kid “suddenly develops” an allergy! Give me a break! Peanut butter is a healthy and cheap sandwich choice that kids love, but they are missing out.
