We own a Graco 2 speed swing from the early 21st century and love it. It runs on 4 D cell batteries and is strong enough to swing my 5 month 18 lb little boy.
I recently purchased a Fisher Price Starlight Papasan Cradle. It had 6 speeds, an adapter to plug into a wall socket and music etc. It would only swing my child at the highest speed when he was 1.5 months old and 13 lbs. He was already too heavy for the swing. My son didn’t find it fast enough so we had to return it.
