Today I found my savings in the food clearance racks at Loblaws. The grocers around us have produce that are very ripe at 50% off. I was able to snag a broccoli for $.75 and a cauliflower for $.99. The veggies aren’t overly ripe and will be perfect steamed and pureed for a pasta sauce. See recipe here. Check your grocers for these 50% off sales racks and for sales on rolls and bread that are nearing their best before date, but would be perfect for freezing or serving at tonight’s supper!
